Eterna watches, a long history in timepieces

The Eterna watches company was founded on November 7 1856, originally called U. Schild. The founders of Eterna watch are Josef Girard and Urs Schild. Over 150 years later the tradition of quality craftsmanship continues.

As watches evolved so did Eterna, the latest Eterna watch collection is the KonTiki Diver and the KonTiki GMT. The Kon Tiki Diver and GMT are both sports watches that include features such as a, 24-hour hand, chronograph, quartz-driven precision movement, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a world time display and a diver’s bezel.

To add to the popularity of Eterna wristwatches, in 1998 the company came out with Porsche Design watch collection. The P6000 series boasts popular models such as the Heritage P6510, Dashboard 6600, Quartz Chrono PAT 6610, 6612, Rattrapante Chrono PGR gold 6613 and the Satellite P6910.

Other collections that have made an impact with watch collectors includes, Eterna Sahida watch series and the Minx series from Eterna.

Eterna has played a large role in the development of watches. Major inventions from Eterna includes, creating the first alarm wristwatch, the thinnest quartz wristwatch of all times, the smallest quartz movement for ladies’ watches, and many more historic inventions.
